0I thought this might be a good time to talk about what a Beta launch is and why we’ve decided to have one. Because this can be a rather extensive subject it will be broken down into 2 blog posts covering what a beta launch is and why Cool Hand Nuke has chosen to have one. This post will cover the what.
In essence a beta launch is a move of a product, in our case the Cool Hand Nuke website, from a pure Research and Development environment into a Testing or Laboratory setting.
Some of you may be familiar with Google Labs. This is essentially Google’s line up of products in beta testing, some may become fully released products while others may not.
There are a few different beta launch types. Most often you will hear of Private or Public. In other instances the Beta cycle is completely in-house and you will not see anything until the final product passes the internal beta phase and is actually launched to the public as a finished, fully-polished product.
